We had sent out an email that seems to not have reached everyone regarding errors happening on Firestick. Below you can see the email. If you need assistance past this please feel free to input a support ticket.

Hello,

We understand the frustration and anger caused by the recent outages and slowdowns over the past few months. After extensive investigation, we’ve identified the root cause and implemented all possible fixes on our end. Unfortunately, there is a broader issue impacting users that requires attention outside of our control.

Why is this happening? Amazon has begun blocking third-party apps from accessing new Fire TV devices. This change is affecting not only Norstar services but all similar services. We know this is disappointing, and we want to be transparent by sharing articles that explain the situation:

What are the solutions?

Many users have found that using a VPN helps restore access, though this is not a guaranteed fix for everyone.

If you’ve purchased a new Firestick device and it works, we recommend continuing to use it. If it does not, and you’re unable to use our service, we suggest returning it.

As alternatives, here are Android-based devices that operate smoothly and do not block service access. We don’t endorse one over another, but they vary in price and performance:

Each of these devices has been tested to work reliably without blocking connections to our service. However we have found that currently Spectrum is blocking all connections to our services.

Please keep in mind we are still working to get this fixed completely.

Final note: This issue is not unique to Norstar it is affecting all services that rely on third-party access. Finding alternative solutions is critical to ensuring uninterrupted access, and we are committed to helping you navigate these changes.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work together to keep your service running smoothly.

Best regards, Norstar Support Team
